About The Position

Cooper's Plumbing & Air is seeking an experienced Plumbing Manager to lead a growing department. This leadership role reports directly to company ownership and offers the opportunity to develop technicians, improve operations, and drive departmental success. The ideal candidate is an experienced plumbing professional who knows how to lead a team, drive performance, and turn challenges into opportunities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of management experience in plumbing or a related skilled trade.
  • Strong knowledge of residential and/or commercial plumbing operations.
  • Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Experience managing budgets, KPIs, and operational performance.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and field operations.
  • Comfortable using technology; ServiceTitan experience preferred.
  • Commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet applicable job-related screening requirements.

  • ServiceTitan experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily plumbing operations, scheduling, and technician performance.
  • Recruit, train, and coach technicians through ride-alongs, individual meetings, and weekly training.
  • Establish clear expectations, promote accountability, and build a strong team culture.
  • Improve technical skills, customer service, and sales performance.
  • Manage revenue goals, budgets, and departmental expenses.
  • Track KPIs, including average ticket, conversion rates, productivity, and staffing.
  • Improve profitability by managing labor, overtime, materials, and inventory costs.
  • Collaborate with ownership to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop and improve department processes and workflows.
  • Coordinate scheduling and adjust staffing based on demand.
  • Ensure quality workmanship, safety, and compliance with plumbing codes.
  • Oversee vehicles, tools, equipment, and inventory.
  • Resolve customer concerns and operational challenges professionally.
