About The Position

Aoka is seeking a certified plumbing inspection professional to help ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality plumbing installations across a variety of projects in Houston, Texas. The Plumbing Inspector reviews plumbing systems and installations against approved plans, specifications, applicable plumbing codes, and safety standards. The role involves conducting inspections, documenting findings, preparing reports, and providing guidance to clients and contractors. The position offers professional development, including company-funded additional certifications and advancement opportunities toward Senior Plumbing Inspector or Building Official roles.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in plumbing inspections.
Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners (TSBPE) Plumbing Inspector License.
Ability to read and interpret construction and plumbing plans.
Strong organizational skills and willingness to learn new inspection software.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Inspect plumbing systems and installations for compliance with approved plans, specifications, plumbing codes, and safety standards.
Conduct inspections of water supply, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, gas piping, and related plumbing systems.
Maintain detailed inspection records and prepare timely, professional reports.
Address questions and concerns from clients and contractors and provide guidance on plumbing code requirements.
Participate in ongoing training and company initiatives.
