About The Position

Jenkins Plumbing Company is seeking a dependable and motivated Plumbing Helper to join our Tallahassee team. This entry-level position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, wants to learn the plumbing trade, and is committed to providing quality workmanship and excellent customer service. The Plumbing Helper will assist experienced plumbers with residential plumbing installations, repairs, and job site preparation while learning the skills necessary to grow within the company.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous construction or plumbing experience is a plus but not required.
Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening, including a drug test.

Responsibilities

Assist plumbers with residential plumbing installations, repairs, and service work.
Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and materials for each job.
Dig trenches and assist with excavation when necessary.
Cut, measure, and assemble piping and other plumbing materials under supervision.
Clean and prepare work areas before, during, and after each project.
Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in a clean and organized condition.
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
Accurately complete assigned tasks and communicate progress with supervisors.
Provide courteous and professional interactions with homeowners, coworkers, and vendors.
Attend training and continue developing plumbing knowledge and skills.
Perform other duties as assigned.
