About The Position

The Plumbing Helper assists licensed plumbers and plumbing technicians with the installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of residential and commercial plumbing systems. This entry-level position provides hands-on experience and training while supporting daily operations, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening, if applicable.
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to follow directions and safety procedures.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Previous construction, plumbing, or trade experience.
Enrollment in or interest in a plumbing apprenticeship program.
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

Assist plumbers with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment.
Load, unload, organize, and transport tools, materials, and equipment to job sites.
Prepare work areas and maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.
Assist with digging trenches, cutting pipe, assembling fittings, and other labor-intensive tasks.
Perform basic plumbing tasks under supervision, including measuring, cutting, and installing piping.
Help diagnose plumbing issues and support repair efforts.
Clean and test completed installations and repairs.
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition.
Provide professional and courteous customer service when interacting with clients.
Attend training sessions and actively participate in skill development opportunities.
Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and timely.
