Our Property & Buildings Team is seeking a Full-Time Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineering Co-op - Spring/Summer 2026 to work out of our Philadelphia, PA office. This temporary position is seeking individuals currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program through Drexel University. This co-op is anticipated to take place during the Spring and Summer 2026 semesters. The anticipated dates of this co-op are March 30th – September 18th as part of the Drexel Co-op Program. Start dates may be flexible. Students will have the opportunity to gain experience in projects within the infrastructure, commercial, higher education, science & technology and healthcare sectors. WSP’s projects include both renovation and new construction, both locally and nationally. Successful candidates will participate in all aspects of plumbing and fire protection engineering and design as it relates to the building and construction industry. This is an excellent opportunity for students looking to gain hands-on experience in the field of engineering. Throughout the cycle, the Co-op should expect to: Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills. Learn basic principles of Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineering. Become familiar with reading and interpreting building plans and plumbing/fire protection diagrams. Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis. Learn Autodesk Revit to model Plumbing & Fire Protection components and systems. Collaborate with senior engineers to develop engineering drawings and specifications. Travel to job sites to survey and review existing buildings and construction progress through various stages of a project. Become familiar with various engineering standards and codes. Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation. Complete training on assigned tasks. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements. Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this co-op.
