Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer/Designer
About The Position
We are a full-service consulting engineering firm, looking to hire a Plumbing/ Fire Protection Engineer. This role involves designing and engineering plumbing systems including domestic water distribution, hot water boilers, sanitary and storm systems, and natural and medical gas systems. It also includes designing fire protection systems such as fire protection sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and inert gas fire protection systems. The project work spans across various market sectors including commercial, healthcare, multi-family, retail, industrial, ecclesiastic, and institutional facilities. The ideal candidate will have a BS or BAE degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering and enjoy seeing their work come to life and understanding how the built environment functions.
Requirements
- BS or BAE degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- 2+ years’ experience preferred.
- EIT or PE registration a plus but not required.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and engineer plumbing systems including domestic water distribution, hot water boilers, sanitary and storm systems, and natural and medical gas systems.
- Design and engineer fire protection systems including fire protection sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and inert gas fire protection systems.
- Work on projects in the following market sectors: commercial, healthcare, multi-family, retail, industrial, ecclesiastic, and institutional facilities.
