About The Position
Bala Consulting Engineers is seeking an ambitious Plumbing & Fire Protection Designer to join their team in the NY office. This role involves performing surveys, laying out and sizing plumbing and fire protection systems, equipment layout and sizing, determining schedules and details, ensuring information flow between disciplines, assisting in writing reports and feasibility studies, and reviewing shop drawings. The company is a 200-person engineering firm with offices in multiple locations, focused on innovative designs for various building systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Capable of design of plumbing and fire protection systems
- Knowledge of all plumbing codes and NFPA standards
- Ability to clearly communicate with clients and team members and document daily activities as required
- General knowledge of applicable codes
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or AE Engineering preferred
