About The Position

ProChem Inc. is a custom-tailored water treatment solutions provider serving heavy industrial manufacturing facilities in the U.S. We are seeking a hard-working plumbing & fabrication technician to join our Water Systems Fabrication & Installation crew. This position is responsible for assisting in the construction, installation, and maintenance of wastewater/water treatment systems and related liquid handling systems. This position requires frequent travel, out of state and local, including overnight and extended periods over weekends (for installations).

Requirements

Must possess a valid Virginia's driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
Must pass pre-employment and random drug screening.
1 year of experience in construction work, troubleshooting, or related fields.
Willingness to travel 50%.

Nice To Haves

Plumbing and PVC piping and other liquid conveying parts and equipment such as pumps and valves.
Welding certification.
Experience with production or construction work and project schedules.
Reading and interpreting P&ID drawings, schematics, specifications, and written instructions.

Responsibilities

Assisting in the construction, installation, and maintenance of wastewater/water treatment systems and related liquid handling systems.
Using power tools, construction work, troubleshooting, or related trade skill.
Welding (plastics and/or metal pipe or structural).
Working on a customer work site for construction or installation-related tasks.
Performing basic mechanical tasks for assembly and repair.
Fabrication: metal, plastic.
Telephone communication is an essential part of the job expectations.
Flexibility in work hours, vacation, and other schedule considerations to successfully support company needs.
