About The Position

IES Residential is currently seeking a Junior Plumbing Estimator to join our growing team. The Junior Plumbing Estimator will support senior estimators in evaluating bid specifications, reviewing blueprints, and preparing cost estimates for plumbing service projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of analyzing project documents to support accurate and competitive bids in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• Strong computer literacy with the ability to quickly learn new software and digital tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel experience strongly preferred)
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly and professionally
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Must pass background screening
• License Required

Responsibilities

• Inspect project plans and specifications to determine scope and requirements
• Evaluate bid documents, blueprints, proposals, and related materials
• Prepare and distribute transmittals, plans, and specifications during the bid process
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and scope analysis
• Assist in developing master budgets and cost models for projects
• Prepare and present project estimates and bid summaries
• Communicate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to review estimates and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and project documentation
• Support the estimating team with administrative and project-related tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned
