About The Position
We’re hiring a skilled Plumbing Engineer / MEP Design Engineer to join a growing team in Alhambra, CA. This role is ideal for an experienced MEP Engineer with a strong background in plumbing system design, building systems, and construction documentation across commercial and residential projects.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in plumbing design / MEP engineering
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes (UPC/IPC) and building systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM coordination
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with commercial, healthcare, or multifamily projects
- PE license or EIT is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design and develop plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, storm, and gas systems
- Produce construction drawings, specifications, and calculations using AutoCAD/Revit
- Perform load calculations, pipe sizing, and code compliance reviews (IPC, UPC, local codes)
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and architectural teams on integrated MEP designs
- Support projects from concept through construction administration
- Conduct site visits, review submittals, and respond to RFIs
