About The Position

As a Drain Tech at Morris-Jenkins, you will help families by performing diagnostic repair service calls for various plumbing issues such as mysterious leaks, running toilets, and flooding. You will act as a plumbing detective to identify and fix problems correctly, ensuring customer satisfaction and peace of mind. You will also address customer concerns, explain the repair process clearly, and build trust. Larger repairs like water heater replacements or re-pipes will be handed off to plumbing installers, allowing you to focus on your strengths and move to your next service call. The role offers year-round stability with available overtime, no on-call duties, and a 5-day weekend every five weeks. Requirements

3+ years of experience with diagnostic troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of residential plumbing, water heaters, tankless, filtration, gas lines, gas logs, and drain cleaning.
Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to provide repair versus replacement options to customers.
Knowledge of drain machines, camera and locator equipment.
Knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of required tools.
High School Diploma or GED.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in the English language.

Nice To Haves

Valid North Carolina Plumbing Contractor (P1 or P2)
Valid North Carolina Journeyman license
