About The Position

The Plumbing Designer plays a critical role in the planning and development of plumbing systems for a variety of construction projects across the United States. This position is responsible for creating detailed and accurate plumbing designs that comply with all relevant codes and standards, ensuring functionality, safety, and efficiency. The role involves close collaboration with architects, engineers, and construction teams to integrate plumbing systems seamlessly into building designs. The Plumbing Designer will also oversee the preparation and review of construction and shop drawings, facilitating smooth project execution from design through construction administration. Ultimately, this role ensures that all plumbing systems are designed to meet client requirements while optimizing cost, sustainability, and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD for plumbing system design and drafting.
• Strong understanding of plumbing codes, standards, and best practices applicable in the United States.
• Experience with construction administration and the ability to interpret and produce construction and shop drawings.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with construction management processes and software.
• Knowledge of sustainable plumbing design practices and green building standards.
• Experience working on large-scale or complex construction projects.
• Proven experience in plumbing design for commercial or residential construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive plumbing system designs using Revit and AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with local codes and project specifications.
• Prepare and review detailed construction and shop drawings to support project execution and coordination with other disciplines.
• Design and specify drainage systems and other plumbing components to optimize system performance and reliability.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, materials, and technologies to continuously improve design quality.
