We are currently searching for a CAD Design/Layout Technician to add to our Plumbing New Construction Office Team. This position is full-time and will work out of our Round Rock office.
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products and other basic computer operations
- Must have the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be detail oriented and possess excellent-follow up skills
- Willing and eager to learn
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Effective at working with other staff members in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in technology or equivalent preferred, but not required
- Working knowledge and experience with CAD estimating preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, isometrics, process & instrumentation diagrams, and specifications
- Planning, organizing, and prioritizing per the new construction schedule to ensure timely completion of designs and print outs for bid estimators
- Providing plans to estimators that are correct in size and scale to ensure the necessary amount of material is provided and accounted for
- Ensuring clear and open communication with bid estimators and field superintendents throughout the duration of each project
- Support Estimators, Superintendents, Schedulers, and Management with day-to-day tasks
- Answer phone calls from builders while assisting our Scheduler as needed
- Other duties as assigned
