Russell’s American Mechanical is seeking a dependable and motivated Plumbing Assistant to support our plumbing team in Chesapeake, VA. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the plumbing trade and gain hands-on experience while working alongside skilled plumbers.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Nice To Haves
- Prior plumbing or construction experience preferred, but not required
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed plumbers with residential and light commercial plumbing service, repairs, and installations
- Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and materials
- Support pipe cutting, fitting, trenching, and basic plumbing tasks
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Provide professional and courteous customer interaction
- Perform general cleanup and job site support duties
