About The Position

Apprentice Plumber / Pipefitter Build Your Career with SOS Plumbing & Heating SOS Plumbing & Heating is expanding, and we’re looking for a dependable Apprentice Plumber/Pipefitter who wants to build a long-term career in the plumbing and heating industry. Whether you’re just starting out or already have some experience, we’ll provide hands-on training and the opportunity to learn from skilled professionals while working on residential and light commercial projects throughout Rhode Island. Requirements

Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
Able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Successful completion of a background check and RMV review
Applicants with at-fault accidents or moving violations within the past three years will not be considered

Nice To Haves

Mechanical aptitude or construction experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

Assist licensed plumbers and pipefitters with installations, repairs, and service work
Learn residential and light commercial plumbing and hydronic heating systems
Install water, drain, gas, and heating piping under supervision
Help with fixture installations, water heaters, boilers, and plumbing equipment
Safely operate hand and power tools while maintaining an organized work area
Read and understand job layouts, drawings, and installation instructions
Follow company safety procedures and provide professional customer service
