About The Position

As an apprentice, you will be enrolled in and participate in Howe’s state-registered apprenticeship program, T.E.K. (Technology, Experience, and Knowledge). Assist in the preparation, fabrication, assembly, and installation of plumbing and piping systems according to plans and codes. Each day and every job-site may be different, as you navigate cutting/carrying pipe, fittings, and installation equipment, conduct pressure testing on new and existing systems, and install valve and flow switches. Participate in a monthly Howe-facilitated classroom training where you will learn how to read and understand blueprints, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and carry out additional assignments as directed. Learn the importance of maintaining their tools, repairing equipment, and keeping their work areas neat, clean, and free of debris.

Requirements

• Enrollment in Howe’s state-registered apprenticeship program, T.E.K.
• Mechanically inclined and able to follow directions closely.
• Ability to work unsupervised and maintain a professional appearance.
• Reliable transportation to drive to and from job sites.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Prior construction experience is helpful.
