About The Position

We are looking for a dedicated Plumbing Apprentice to assist our licensed Plumber while improving their own skills. The responsibilities of a Plumbing Apprentice include assisting the Plumber, handling tools, and cleaning job sites. The Plumbing Apprentice can expect to assist in complex jobs and handle smaller jobs on their own. A successful Plumbing Apprentice will be well-organized and detail-oriented. You should have good customer service skills, be able and willing to follow instructions, and be prepared to travel to clients' homes to complete your work.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED Certificate
Maryland Plumbing Apprentice License
Valid Driver’s License
Willingness to learn on the job, go through training, and earn a qualification as a Plumber

Nice To Haves

Vocational training may be advantageous
Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper

Responsibilities

Assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures.
Locate and identify leaks.
Repair or replace pipes and parts under supervision.
Assist the Plumber.
Handle tools.
Clean job sites after work is completed.
Learn how to follow building plans and blueprints.
Learn how to perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems.
Learn how to determine the right tools and equipment necessary to successfully complete a job.
Actively learn federal, state, and local plumbing codes to assist Plumber with compliance.
Learn how to answer client queries.
Follow the Plumbers' direction and instructions.
Learn how to effectively anticipate customer needs and provide empathy for their scenario.
Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals.
Keep service vehicles clean, stocked with material and proper paperwork.
Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed and materials used.
Assist where needed within the company.
Take ownership of your role and constantly seek areas for improvement.
Provide regular feedback to Team Leads.
