About The Position
This role involves providing outstanding customer service with clear, professional communication. The plumber will diagnose, repair, and install plumbing systems in residential settings, ensuring all work is completed to code, company standards, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include troubleshooting plumbing issues efficiently, recommending effective solutions, and maintaining clean, organized, and safe job sites. The position also involves mentoring and supporting apprentices, following all safety procedures, and promoting a safe working environment. Additionally, the plumber will maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles, collaborate with team members, and represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and a positive attitude.
Requirements
- Valid Journeyman Plumber license preferred (or readiness to test).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with insurability through Vredevoogd’s insurance carrier.
- Ability to pass initial and random drug screenings, as well as a comprehensive national background check.
- Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems, codes, and best practices.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift over 75 lbs, climb in and out of vehicles, and work in varying weather conditions.
- Commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Must live within 45 minutes of Grandville.
