About The Position

Chelsea Piers seeks a skilled Plumber to join our talented technical maintenance team full-time. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving all plumbing issues across the Chelsea Piers property. This role reports to the Facilities Site Engineer. Your primary work location will be at our flagship Chelsea location, but there may be occasional work at our other NYC facilities. As the Plumber, you will be expected to: Follow all safety guidelines and ensure compliance with plumbing codes Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues across the property, including leaks, clogs, and system failures Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment Perform routine inspections of plumbing infrastructure to ensure proper functioning Perform routine inspections and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems across the property. Collaborate with the team to address complex plumbing challenges Submit accurate work orders and reports using a mobile app Communicate effectively with staff, coworkers, and vendors Maintain professionalism and high standards of workmanship This is not a comprehensive list of responsibilities. Requirements

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in maintenance or construction environments.
  • Valid NYS driver’s license
  • FDNY S-12 and S-13 Certificates of Fitness (or willingness to obtain)
  • OSHA-10 and OSHA-30 certifications (or willingness to obtain)
  • Certification for ladder, scissor lift, and scaffolding safety (or willingness to obtain)
  • Flexible availability, including occasional holidays, weekends, and overnight work
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities
