About The Position
Reporting to the Maintenance & Operations Assistant Manager, the Plumber is responsible for a variety of skilled tasks related to the plumbing trade, which are required for the installation, maintenance, repair, and/or upgrading of plumbing, heating, cooling, and ventilation systems within Nova Scotia Health facilities. This position may require travel to work at other sites.
Requirements
- Nova Scotia Journeyman Plumbing Certification required
- Ability to work in an environment with conflicting priorities, demanding deadlines and time pressures
- Knowledge of applicable safety codes
- Demonstrated knowledge and observation of safe work practices
- Proficiency in the use of computers (e.g. Microsoft Office)
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working with a safety permit system
