About The Position

This position is responsible for performing a variety of plumbing maintenance and repair activities. This includes installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing systems. The role involves working on new and existing construction, as well as performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program in plumbing or equivalent experience.
Valid Nevada State Plumbing License.
Valid Nevada State Driver's License.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
Knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations.
Proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment.
Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a school district or similar public sector environment.
Knowledge of backflow prevention and testing.
Certification in welding or pipefitting.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and appliances such as sinks, toilets, and water heaters.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
Cut, thread, and bend pipes to required lengths and angles.
Assemble and install plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and waste systems.
Test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems.
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on plumbing systems.
Respond to emergency calls for plumbing repairs.
Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
Maintain accurate records of work performed.
