About The Position

Finger Lakes Health is seeking an experienced and dependable Plumber to join our Facilities team! This is a great opportunity for a skilled trades professional looking for a stable career where their work directly supports quality healthcare in our community. The Plumber provides professional plumbing services and facility support to ensure safe and reliable operations throughout Finger Lakes Health facilities, under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and/or department supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid New York State Driver’s License with driving record consistent with Finger Lakes Health policy
• EPA Certified in Refrigerant Recovery
• Journeyman or Master Plumber Certification
• Medical Gas Certification
• 1st Class or 2nd Class Boiler Operator (Stationary Engineer)
• Minimum: 1–2 years of building operations and maintenance experience with professional certification
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to follow established procedures and safety guidelines
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
• Excellent customer service and communication skills

Nice To Haves

• 2 years of experience in a professional trade setting

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installation work
• Provide support for facility operations and building systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing-related issues
• Follow safety procedures, policies, and established standards
• Maintain professional and courteous interactions with staff, patients, and visitors
