About The Position

GE Aerospace is seeking a licensed Plumber for their Lynn facility. This role involves installing, maintaining, and inspecting plumbing and pipefitting systems, including steam, gas, air, water, vacuum, hydraulic, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen lines. The position requires attention to detail, quality workmanship, and the ability to work collaboratively within a LEAN transformation environment. Requirements

  • Massachusetts Journeymen Plumbing License.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education (GED).
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and diagrams.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.
  • Ability to lift, move and/or manipulate fixtures and component hardware up to 40lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to work in confined areas, work off ladders, platforms, and heights.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Massachusetts Pipefitters Journeymen License
  • 3 years of experience as a plumber working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of safety rules in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to troubleshoot plumbing issues and problems.
  • Ability to work with customers.
  • Ability to adapt to new methods and/or customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to use basic tools and machinery.
  • Ability to schedule, plan and order materials for jobs.
  • Experience with computers preferred.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

  • Layout, plan, install, maintain and inspect complicated plumbing and pipefitting work, including steam, gas, air, water, and vacuum systems, hydraulic equipment, hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen lines, etc., to drawings, instructions, codes, etc., with or without the assistance of other plumbers or pipefitters, helpers, etc.
  • Maintain quality workmanship with attention directed to task at all times.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
