About The Position

This position is for a Plumber Pipefitter at the Sharonville Transmission Plant (STP). The role involves performing tasks related to plumbing and pipefitting, adhering to safety rules, and working effectively in a team environment. The job requires the ability to learn and follow instructions, work various schedules including overtime, and perform physical tasks associated with the trade.

Requirements

Completion of a bona fide apprenticeship program in the trade.
Knowledge and work experience in blueprint reading and layout.
Knowledge and work experience in pneumatic, fluid, and steam systems.
Knowledge and work experience in fabrication of pipe systems.
Knowledge and work experience in pipe, mechanical gas arc, and plasma cutting.
Knowledge and work experience in lifting and rigging.
Knowledge and work experience in valve installation and repair.
Successful completion of a job interview.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen (Drug panel does not include THC).
Successful completion of a physical.
Successful completion of a background check.

Responsibilities

Work on an assigned schedule, change shifts periodically, work more than 8 hours per day and/or work overtime, while maintaining good attendance.
Learn and follow safety rules and procedures.
Learn, remember, and maintain pace of steps involved in performing a job after instruction, training, and familiarization with the tasks.
Understand and follow instructions, both oral or in writing.
Work in a team environment, including helping co-workers, maintaining and promoting a safe work environment, treating co-workers with dignity and respect regardless of personal differences, and accepting and following instructions and requests from leadership.
Perform tasks of the trade, stand for extended periods, walk unassisted, work at heights, work overhead including on ladders and platforms and manipulate tools typical of the trade.
Perform tasks requiring reaching, lifting, twisting, bending, and use of a PMHV or hilo.
Perceive differences in details and prints related to trade.
Effectively maneuver about vehicles, equipment, assembly lines or stations, and about facility.
