The Louisiana Correctional Institute for Women is seeking a skilled and motivated Plumber/Pipefitter Foreman to lead and supervise plumbing and pipefitting operations across the facility. This position plays a key role in maintaining safe, reliable, and functional infrastructure that supports daily operations.

Requirements

• Four years of experience or training in pipefitting, steam fitting, or plumbing.
• Two years of the required experience must have been on-the-job experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and directing assigned offenders in plumbing and pipefitting tasks
• Planning, assigning, and reviewing work related to installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, fixtures, and pipelines
• Ensuring all work complies with applicable codes, safety standards, and institutional policies
• Inspecting facilities, identifying maintenance needs, and coordinating repair schedules
• Maintaining required documentation, including work orders, material usage, and project records
• Collaborating with maintenance leadership and other departments to ensure efficient facility operations
• Training and developing staff in proper procedures and safe work practices
