About The Position

re:fab is a full-service painting and renovation company with over 33 years of consecutive growth. We are seeking skilled, experienced, and licensed Plumber Owner Operator Subcontractors to partner with us. We aim to build relationships with reputable subcontracting firms that have employees on payroll and can consistently deliver reliable, high-quality service. We have an immediate need for an upcoming commercial project in Shelburne, VT, and are accepting bids now. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for a wide variety of plumbing installations, working independently, and troubleshooting effectively.

Requirements

• Carry your own general liability, auto and workers comp insurances
• 2+ years previous experience working as a Plumber
• Valid plumbing license as required by state law
• Excellent critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Good physical dexterity and the ability to lift 50+ pounds
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints to determine best plumbing layouts for installation, collaborating with other professionals as needed
• Install, repair, and maintain pipes and other plumbing fixtures in both commercial and residential facilities
• Fit and repair various household appliances
• Answer calls for plumbing emergencies, fixing issues as quickly and efficiently as possible
• Inspect plumbing for code compliance and safety issues
• Prepare estimates for client needs
• Maintain a record of time spent working, including tasks completed and supplies used
