About The Position

Design, inspect, repair, maintain and install plumbing systems such as: piping for sanitary, storm, domestic, lab, fluid, and medical gas use as well as associated fixtures, equipment and controls. Work will be performed almost exclusively in healthcare related buildings. Use of critical thinking skills to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications is required. Plumbers work in cooperation with other trades to ensure that all codes, protocols, and policies are met to ensure safe and efficient completion of all projects. Digital documentation of work must be completed on a daily basis.

Requirements

• Five years as a plumber/fitter in a commercial, industrial, healthcare or facilities operations setting
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a State regulated apprenticeship
• Able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking
• Able to safely use manual tools and power equipment common in the construction trades
• Able to handle hazardous materials safely and tolerate exposure to electrical and other environmental hazards
• State of Wisconsin Journeyman Plumbing Certification or acquiring Certification within 60 days
