About The Position

The PLT Plant I Tire Room Setup Tech will setup and adjust Passenger Tire building machines. They will perform machine checks, machine alignment, identification and storage of tooling items and minor machine maintenance. The role involves setting up, detecting, adjusting, and correcting equipment using electrical, mechanical and pneumatic knowledge. Making drum changes and drum set adjustments per schedule is also a key responsibility. The technician will audit and oversee the building of the first tires after making changes or adjustments to equipment and approve them for production. They will also maintain surveillance of assigned machines to monitor efficiency, troubleshoot and make adjustments to assigned machines to reduce downtime, and maintain daily records of machine activity. The role requires effective communication with Supervisors and Departmental Managers regarding any malfunction or breakdown, and performing routine scheduled M.T.C. checks and corrections. Other duties may be assigned by the Setup Lead Supervisor, Floor Supervisor, and Department Manager. Ensuring all ESH procedures, policies, and legal requirements are implemented and monitored is crucial. Note: This description may not be inclusive of all work required and may be updated as needed.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED and 1 year Continental Manufacturing experience or 2 years mechanical experience.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Responsibilities

Effectively communicate with all Supervisors and Departmental Manager any malfunction or breakdown.
Perform routine scheduled M.T.C. checks and corrections.
Perform other duties as directed by Setup Lead Supervisor, Floor Supervisor and Department Manager.
Ensure all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored.
