About The Position

The Palletizer is responsible for ensuring tires meet all OEM marking requirements, including affixing 2D stickers, High Point Stickers, paint daubers, crayon markings, spray adhesive, conicity tags, article numbers, and Palletizer IDs. This role involves removing tires weighing up to 45 pounds from a waist-high conveyor and stacking them on a pallet from floor to shoulder height at a rate of 200 tires per hour. Occasional forklift operation may be required, necessitating certification through the Safety Department and responsible care of the equipment. The Palletizer must adhere to standard practices for quality and quantity production, maintain neat and orderly work areas, and follow all plant policies, environmental policies, and safety guidelines. Effective communication with other palletizers, warehouse truckers, and supervision is essential. The role also includes performing other duties as directed by the PLT Final Finish Supervisor or Department Manager.

Requirements

  • 0-1 year of manufacturing experience needed
  • Must be certified to operate a Fork Lift through the Safety Department.
  • Applicants without a High School Diploma or GED must complete In-House Competency Test (non-core jobs only) to be deemed eligible

Responsibilities

  • Know all OEM tire marking requirements and properly affix 2D sticker; High Point Sticker; Paint Dauber; crayon marking; spray adhesive, conicity tags, article number and Palletizer I.D.
  • Remove PLT Tires up to 45#’s from waist high conveyor and stacked from floor to shoulder high on a pallet at 200 tires per hour rate.
  • Occasionally use forklifts when necessary, must be certified to operate a Fork Lift through the Safety Department. Responsible for the proper care and safe operation of this material handling equipment.
  • Follow standard practices and perform all work necessary to promptly and accurately obtain quality and quantity production, and keeping work areas neat, clean, aligned and orderly.
  • Follow all plant policies, environmental policies, and plant and departmental safety policies.
  • Communicate with other palletizers, warehouse truckers, PLT Final Finish Supervision and Department Manager.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the PLT Final Finish Supervisor or Department Manager.
