We are seeking a PLM Project Manager who will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) initiatives across the organization. Within this role, you will ensure alignment between business objectives, engineering processes, and IT systems by managing PLM implementations, upgrades, and integrations. You will act as a bridge between cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and IT), ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while driving process standardization and digital transformation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project management (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies).
  • Strong knowledge of PLM concepts (BOM, change management, product data management, lifecycle workflows).
  • Experience with one or more PLM platforms (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE/ENOVIA).
  • Solid understanding of product development processes in engineering-driven environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in systems integration (PLM–ERP–CAD ecosystems).
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in digital transformation or Industry 4.0 initiatives.
  • Familiarity with data migration strategies and data governance principles.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices or Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe).
  • Experience with cloud-based PLM solutions.
  • Background in engineering disciplines (mechanical, industrial, or software engineering).
  • Understanding of regulatory/compliance requirements (e.g., aerospace, automotive, medical devices).
  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Basic knowledge of scripting or customization within PLM systems.
  • Experience managing global or distributed teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end PLM project lifecycle (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure).
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, IT, manufacturing, and external vendors.
  • Manage PLM system implementations, upgrades, migrations, and integrations with ERP, CAD, and other enterprise systems.
  • Facilitate workshops to gather and document business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks/issues, and implement mitigation plans.
  • Ensure adherence to governance, quality standards, and best practices in PLM deployment.
  • Communicate project status, milestones, and risks to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Drive change management activities including user engagement, training, and adoption strategies.
  • Manage budgets, contracts, and relationships with external partners and system integrators.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and optimization of PLM processes post-implementation.
