About The Position

Saronic Technologies is seeking an experienced PLM Business Systems Analyst to join their Enterprise Technology organization. This role combines traditional Business Analyst duties with light Scrum Master responsibilities. The analyst will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure PLM initiatives are well-defined and executed smoothly. The position operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent projects, requiring the ability to manage competing deadlines and maintain high quality. The role involves acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, translating needs into actionable requirements, and serving as an in-house functional consultant for the Teamcenter PLM platform. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and possesses advanced experience with Teamcenter or a similar PLM system in an advanced manufacturing setting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Information Systems, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst in enterprise or engineering environments.
  • Experience supporting projects involving Teamcenter or a comparable PLM platform such as Arena, PTC Windchill, or Aras Innovator.
  • Understanding of core PLM processes, including EBOM/MBOM management, engineering change management (ECR/ECO/ECN), CAD data management, part and document management, workflow, and configuration management.
  • Familiarity with common PLM integrations, including CAD tools (NX, Solid Edge, SolidWorks, or Creo) and ERP/MES systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to write clear, detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria quickly.
  • Strong experience on Agile or Scrum projects and familiarity with tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • If this role is based in the United States, it requires access to export-controlled information or items that require “U.S. Person” status. As defined by U.S. law, individuals who are any one of the following are considered to be a “U.S. Person”: (1) U.S. citizens, (2) legal permanent residents (a.k.a. green card holders), and (3) certain protected classes of asylees and refugees, as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Nice To Haves

  • Siemens Xcelerator Academy Teamcenter certification, such as a Teamcenter Associate or role-based credential.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or a regulated hardware manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with configuration management standards and handling of export-controlled or otherwise sensitive engineering data.
  • Exposure to hardware production scale-up, where PLM, ERP, and shop-floor systems must stay tightly aligned.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, functional specs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and workflow flows.
  • Write requirements that account for core PLM processes (EBOM/MBOM management, engineering change management, CAD data management, part and document management, workflow, configuration management).
  • Deliver development-ready scope quickly.
  • Serve as the in-house functional expert for Teamcenter, guiding the business toward best-practice configurations and managing technical debt.
  • Own and manage several PLM initiatives concurrently, tracking action items, deadlines, and dependencies.
  • Triage competing demands based on impact and ensure all workstreams progress.
  • Provide regular status updates to leadership for progress tracking, tradeoff evaluation, and blocker removal.
  • Act as a delivery partner to product owners and delivery teams, ensuring scope, dependencies, and integration touchpoints across Teamcenter and connected systems (CAD, ERP, MES, requirements management tools) are understood and managed.
  • Serve as the liaison across Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality, convening relevant parties to align on scope.
  • Facilitate or assist with backlog refinement, sprint planning, stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Keep the backlog prioritized and stories well-defined, properly sized, and aligned with business goals.
  • Support planning for Teamcenter upgrades, patches, and new-feature adoption, including impact assessment, regression testing, and rollout.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and delivery blockers early, particularly concerning Teamcenter workflows, BOM management, engineering change processes, access and security, reporting, and integrations.
  • Recommend practical process improvements.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation and preserve the digital thread from requirements through design, manufacturing, testing, and release.
