The PLC Programmer position is responsible for the design, configuration and integration of thermal processing control systems for composites manufacturing consisting of Injection, Compression, Resin Transfer Molding (RTM), and Autoclave operations. Given that a PLC is the heart of most modern automation systems, the position of PLC Programmer will provide all necessary support for the facility related to maintaining and adapting existing PLC systems. This position must also specify, design, program, and commission new PLC systems for the facility. Included in these systems will be a variety of equipment, including variable frequency drives, servo drives, control and communications networks, safety functions, and various other electrical hardware and their related software. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, able to work with limited supervision, and possess strong communications skills to effectively communicate with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and equipment suppliers.
