About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic maintenance team. This position is responsible for ensuring the continuous operation of our steel manufacturing equipment through expert electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial electrical systems in a manufacturing environment and a commitment to safety and quality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical maintenance preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of electrical theory, circuits, and industrial electrical systems
  • Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and motor control systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documents
  • Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation and communication
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, climb, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in various environmental conditions

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in the steel industry or similar heavy manufacturing environment
  • Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or related field
  • Certification in electrical maintenance or industrial electronics
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, equipment, and components throughout the steel manufacturing facility
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical motors, drives, and major industrial components to minimize downtime
  • Install, maintain, and repair industrial cable systems, power applications, and Profibus networks
  • Interpret and work from electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Diagnose electrical system failures and implement effective solutions in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and production teams to optimize equipment performance
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including lockout/tag out (LOTO) requirements
