About The Position

The PLC Controls Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining control systems for automated processes. This role requires a strong understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and industrial automation technologies. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of manufacturing and production equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a PLC Controls Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in programming various PLC platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi).
  • Experience with HMI software and development.
  • Strong understanding of industrial automation principles and technologies.
  • Experience in electronic assembly, wiring, testing, troubleshooting, and component-level repair.
  • Knowledge of automation, aerospace, telecom, semiconductor, and industrial environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in a relevant engineering field.
  • Experience with robotics programming and integration.
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems.
  • Familiarity with CAD software for electrical design.
  • Experience with motion control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC control systems.
  • Develop and implement HMI screens and interfaces.
  • Integrate various automation components, including sensors, actuators, and robotics.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting of control systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to define control system requirements.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including electrical schematics and programming code.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Optimize existing control systems for improved performance and efficiency.
