About The Position

The PLC Controls Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining control systems for automated processes. This role requires a strong understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and industrial automation technologies. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of manufacturing and production equipment.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience as a PLC Controls Engineer or similar role.
Proficiency in programming various PLC platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi).
Experience with HMI software and development.
Strong understanding of industrial automation principles and technologies.
Experience in electronic assembly, wiring, testing, troubleshooting, and component-level repair.
Knowledge of automation, aerospace, telecom, semiconductor, and industrial environments.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in a relevant engineering field.
Experience with robotics programming and integration.
Knowledge of SCADA systems.
Familiarity with CAD software for electrical design.
Experience with motion control systems.

Responsibilities

Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC control systems.
Develop and implement HMI screens and interfaces.
Integrate various automation components, including sensors, actuators, and robotics.
Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting of control systems.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to define control system requirements.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including electrical schematics and programming code.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Optimize existing control systems for improved performance and efficiency.
