About The Position

At Novolex, we manufacture food, beverage, and specialty packaging across resin, paper, molded fiber, aluminum, and more—powering foodservice, delivery, grocery, retail, and industrial markets. With 120 product categories, 250 brands, and 39,000+ SKUs, we pair scale with a sustainability strategy focused on products, operations, and people. This role minimizes downtime by rapidly troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing electrical and automation issues. The technician will execute work orders, keep precise records of tasks and findings, and operate test instruments to isolate faults and verify fixes. They will read and apply schematics, drawings, and diagrams to guide repairs and improvements, troubleshoot PLC hardware, and support automated equipment reliability. The role requires applying NEC requirements and safe work practices, prioritizing workloads, managing multiple assignments under pressure, and communicating status to leaders and peers. Scheduling adaptability is also necessary to meet production demands.

Requirements

  • 1+ year as an Industrial/Manufacturing Maintenance Electrician; OR 2 years related trade/technical schooling; OR 4 years Industrial/Manufacturing experience with proven electrical knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset.
  • Comfort working solo, paired with trades or operations, and within a team with limited supervision.
  • Physical capability to stand long periods; climb, kneel, squat, crawl; and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours.
  • Proficiency with electrical equipment and instrumentation/controls; AC/DC motors and MCCs; electrical distribution; AC VFDs/DC drives; PLCs and automated equipment; and OSHA-aligned industrial standards.

Responsibilities
