About The Position

Isola, an industry leader in global materials sciences whose mission is improve life by enabling innovation in electronic products, is hiring a PLC Control Engineer at our Ridgeway, SC facility. The PLC Control Engineer is responsible for the setup, editing, testing, troubleshooting and implementation of computer control systems used for production automation. The PLC Control Engineer will help design and develop systems for use on the production line. Their designs will help increase production efficiency by evaluating the performance and proposing then implementing improvements.

Requirements

• BS or higher degree in an engineering discipline-required; Controls or Mechanical Engineering- preferred
• 3-5 years of recent continuous work experience with PLC
• Experience with Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi- required
• Experience with Siemens- preferred
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
• Background in Maintenance- preferred
• Experience with evaluating and troubleshooting PLC in relation to the manufacturing processes and machinery.
• Able to work extend hours and weekends in the event projects go beyond normal work hours.

Nice To Haves

• Controls or Mechanical Engineering degree preferred
• Experience with Siemens preferred
• Background in Maintenance preferred

Responsibilities

• Designs, installs, optimizes, and adapts electronic control systems and instruments to automate and monitor industrial processes.
• Develops technical designs, process diagrams, SCADA block diagrams, and control schematics to implement automation controls.
• Configures systems using PLC and HMI techniques.
• Models, test, and measures output and data to analyze performance or quality issues and develop solutions.
