Playroom Lead
About The Position
Saint Basil Academy, a national not-for-profit philanthropic center, is seeking a Playroom Lead to work within their Family Program. This role involves caring for children ranging from infant to school-age in a residential care program facility. Saint Basil Academy provides love, shelter, food, education, protection, and "a home away from home" for children, ministering to their mind, body, and spirit. The mission is to facilitate shelter, protection, love, and education for youth, enabling them to grow into healthy, well-rounded Orthodox Christians and productive members of society with vision and hope. This is a full-time position with flexible hours between 8 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
Requirements
- Must have a clean driver's license.
- High school diploma required.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor Degree in Human Services or related degree preferred.
- Experience working with Children is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Care, safety and management of all children.
- Plan and implement activities that meet the physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs of their students, providing proper equipment.
- Develop weekly plans and implements age appropriate curriculum (lesson plans) to nurture and stimulate all domains of children’s development in their care.
- Transportation.
- Light housekeeping.
