About The Position

This role is responsible for balancing a till/bank daily, executing and recording transactions such as chip redemption, slot vouchers, and cashing negotiable transactions to support gaming operations. The position also involves enrolling and servicing guests with the Player Rewards program. The Player Services Cashier must adhere to all departmental and property policies and procedures, consistently interact with guests to encourage Rewards Card program membership, reward patrons for play, and effectively handle questions and problems. This role involves distributing monies to guests via slot ticket redemption, chip redemption, and check cashing, as well as processing monetary transactions for other departments. Ensuring all transactions are completed efficiently and accurately, maintaining the integrity of assigned assets, and upholding accountability for company funds in accordance with Internal Controls and Gaming Commission Rules and Regulations are key responsibilities. When working as the Chip Banker, the individual is responsible for the accountability of chips in the Casino, processing chip transfers, and issuing table fills. This role handles large amounts of money, maintains accountability over the assigned bank, and protects bank assets by accounting for, documenting, and verifying the accuracy of all incoming and outgoing currency, coin, tokens, chips, cash, etc. The position also involves verifying daily drops for the Count Room, maintaining cage equipment, running necessary reports to balance, and completing all necessary paperwork according to procedure. Strict confidentiality in all company matters is required, along with performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).
  • Basic computer input skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Organizational skills are required.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Must be capable of interacting with the public in a highly professional and positive manner.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced and often crowded/noisy environment.
  • Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime, as needed.
  • Must be willing to work in a smoking environment when on the casino floor.
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs.

  • Handling large amounts of money and maintaining accountability over assigned bank.
  • Protecting and preserving the bank assets including accounting for documenting and verifying the accuracy of all incoming and outgoing currency, coin, tokens, chips, cash, etc.
  • Verifying the daily drops for the Count Room.
