About The Position

Goshen Therapeutic Services is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Play Therapist to join their team and provide in-person counseling services within a trauma-responsive, community-based clinical environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting school-age children (ages 3-12) in the Canton, GA area. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a safe, supportive space for youth. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in community counseling or related field. (Social Work, Community Mental Health, Marriage and Family Therapy).
  • Full license or Associate license preferred with Georgia’s Secretary of State (License eligible considered for the right candidate.)
  • Eligibility for approved supervision.
  • Must submit a valid and official transcript showing proof of degree awarded.
  • Strong clinical judgment and ethical practice
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and the like.
  • Valid Driver’s License with good driving record and proof of insurance meeting required 100/300/100 liability coverage, and be insurable by GVF's auto insurance carrier.
  • Complete and pass a criminal background check, safety screenings, health exam and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based individual, family, and trauma-informed therapy
  • Develop and maintain treatment plans and assessments
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and DFCS partners
  • Maintain clinical documentation and billing compliance
  • Attend and Participate in staff meetings and training
