About The Position

As a Researcher, you’ll work with a variety of disciplines including UX designers, product managers, engineers, product marketing managers, and product support managers. Collaborating with each, you’ll uncover and drive user-centered insights that contribute to our products’ success. You’ll also have the opportunity to work with the broader UXR team on cross-product research initiatives. The ideal candidate will regularly apply empathy and data-driven-insights to inform product recommendations and strategy.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience as a UX researcher with a solid track record of using research to drive product development.
• Expertise in multiple qualitative research methods including usability research, diary studies, in-depth interviews, ethnographic research, and surveys.
• Some quantitative skills and knowledge of survey design and basic statistics.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct qualitative research for Apps.
• Working closely with other researchers on the team, identify research opportunities and initiate research roadmaps.
• Collect and analyze user behavior through usability studies, concept studies, diary studies, qualitative interviews, ethnography, surveys, and dogfood research.
• Conduct research with smartphone users around the world in targeted markets.
• Present research findings in compelling presentations that bring stakeholders together around our users' needs.
• Work with designers, product managers, engineers, and other UXRs to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Become familiar with the apps business and industry around the world.
