About The Position

The Inner Layer Wet Process Operator uses wet chemistry to etch circuit images and apply oxide to panels. The operator develops resist from layers, etches away copper not protected by resist, and strips away resist remaining after develop and etch cycles to expose the circuit. The role also processes panels through developer to remove excess resist from unexposed areas. The position involves operating and monitoring resist-strip and cupric-etching processes, checking chemical concentrations, temperatures, pH, specific gravity, conveyor speeds, solution levels, and process quality. The operator processes first-article panels, checks panels for defects, follows preventive-maintenance schedules and waste-treatment requirements, and performs other duties as assigned. The work requires following applicable safety, hazardous-waste, and export-control requirements.
