About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Platinum Electroplater. In this role, you will apply precision platinum coatings to critical components, ensuring compliance with strict engineering specifications, OEM requirements, and industry quality standards. This is an hourly Union position and requires joining Local 475. Pay rate is $30.46/hr with an additional 10% premium for working 2nd shift hours. 2nd shift is Monday through Friday 3:00pm - 11:00pm.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be fluent in English, (speaking, reading, writing)
• Experience in manufacturing or aerospace environment
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
• Ability to perform basic mathematical and measurement concepts to support plating operations, including thickness calculations, current density adjustments, and process control checks
• Strong attention to detail and process discipline
• Comfortable working with chemicals and PPE
• US persons (U.S. citizen, U.S. naturalized citizen, U.S. permanent resident, holder of U.S. approved political asylee or refugee status) may be considered for this role.

Nice To Haves

• 1-2 years experience in electroplating or metal finishing
• Familiarity with AS9100, NADCAP, or OEM standards preferred
• Knowledge of plating chemistry and process control

Responsibilities

• Perform platinum electroplating on aerospace components
• Prepare parts through cleaning, masking, and surface treatments
• Operate plating equipment and monitor process parameters
• Inspect finished parts and verify coating quality
• Measure coating thickness using precision instruments
• Complete production documentation and quality records
• Follow safety, quality, and environmental procedures
