About The Position

AdvancedPCB is seeking a reliable, motivated Plating Tech to join our growing company. The Plating Tech will be working in a fast-paced, production environment. Knowledge of printed circuit boards is a plus. The objective of the Plating Entry Level Trainee is to learn how to perform a minimum of 3 of the 11 specific Plate Department operations within a 3-6 month period. The Plating Trainee is responsible for learning to perform specific operations according to their respective process procedures. The Plating Entrée Level Trainee is responsible for learning to start up, operate, and shut down Plating Department equipment as well as to learn how to perform routine maintenance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 0 to 2 years of experience in the printed circuit board industry
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience in the PCB Industry
  • Must be able to read prints
  • Must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily
  • Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident, or individual with refugee/asylee status)

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of printed circuit boards is a plus
  • Good written and verbal communications skills
  • Must understand basic math
  • Must be able to follow documented procedures
  • Experience in the PCB industry is a plus
  • Must be comfortable working around chemicals with the safety equipment provided

  • Learn how to turn on tank heaters and bring the fluid levels up
  • Learn how to handle acids and caustics
  • Learn how to read/fill out Process Travelers, logs and charts
  • Learn to inspect his/her own work
  • Performing tasks as directed by the Plate Lead and/or Supervisor
