About The Position

As a Plating Operator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining quality, safety, and productivity through a hands-on approach. Specifically, the role focuses on setting up, operating, and tending to plating tanks. This position requires training on 1st shift (7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday-Friday) for 4-6 weeks, after which the operator will move to 2nd shift (4:00 pm - 2:30 am, Monday-Thursday) with a 15% shift differential.

Requirements

• Ability to read and write to interpret production documents and accurately record information such as part number, lot number, special instructions, and process sequences.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using a learned method or calculator.
• Ability to understand verbal instructions to take work direction and accurately manufacture products.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of chemistry.

Responsibilities

• Setting up, operating, and tending to plating tanks.
• Plating, coating, and passivating metal parts using various chemical solutions to meet specification and customer requirements.
• Wearing personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, and an apron.
