About The Position

The Platform Strategist is a core member of a client pod, partnering closely with the Client Success team, Analytics, and other specialists to drive measurable client outcomes on the platforms that Dandelion licenses. You will be the platform and activation expert within your pod: translating client objectives into platform strategies, enabling clients through training, and ensuring that campaigns are set up, measured, and optimized in line with best practices. This role offers visibility into the full scope of the digital media process across multiple clients and industries, rather than being limited to a narrow or repetitive set of tasks. The ideal candidate brings a solid understanding of digital advertising, ad operations, and media buying, along with a proven track record of hands-on platform work and client training (virtual and in person). Familiarity with a variety of digital ad serving and buying platforms is essential to excel in this role.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience with digital advertising technology platforms, especially: Google Marketing Platform (DV360, CM360, SA360) Amazon DSP TheTradeDesk Yahoo Vistar
  • Deep understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem and how ad serving/buying platforms intersect with analytics, tagging, and measurement.
  • Demonstrated experience building and optimizing campaigns and collaborating with analytics or data teams on reporting and insights.
  • Strong client‑facing skills with the ability to diagnose gaps, propose feasible solutions, and translate technical concepts for audiences ranging from hands‑on practitioners to senior executives.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing and delivering training (virtual and/or in‑person) on media platforms is a strong asset.
  • Diploma or degree in a related field is an asset, but equivalent practical experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary platform expert within your pod, partnering with account management and analytics to deliver against shared client goals.
  • Acts as a trusted point of contact for digital advertising product questions and troubleshooting, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues in a timely and transparent way.
  • Participates in regular pod ceremonies/meetings, coming prepared with platform insights, risks, and opportunities tied to client objectives.
  • Delivers an outstanding training experience to clients so they can become their organization’s subject matter experts on the platforms they license through Dandelion Inc.
  • Designs and runs training plans and enablement sessions tailored to client maturity levels and roles (from practitioners to C‑suite).
  • Stays up to date on the latest features, policies, and trends for the platforms you support and proactively socialize relevant changes with clients and your pod.
  • Translates business and media objectives into campaign structures, targeting approaches, and measurement frameworks across GMP and other DSPs.
  • Partners with analytics and account teams to ensure correct tagging, tracking, and data flows, enabling accurate reporting and meaningful insights.
  • Reviews performance to identify optimizations and test ideas that align to client KPIs and the pod’s success metrics.
  • Identifies creative opportunities to achieve client performance and maturity objectives, not just short‑term delivery.
  • Contributes to scope of work definition for platform‑related projects and support associated billing processes.
  • Supports internal sales and consulting teams with platform insights that inform proposals, roadmaps, and maturity plans.
  • Assists in case study and playbook development, creating benchmarks and repeatable approaches that can be used across pods.
  • Supports RFP and pitch deck development as needed, especially where platform strategy and measurement are key differentiators.
  • Contributes feedback into pod‑level roles & responsibilities (RACI) and process improvements to make collaboration more efficient and scalable.
  • Performs additional tasks and duties as required in a growing, fast‑moving environment.
