About The Position

RTX’s Advanced Processing Architectures Software organization develops embedded processing solutions for safety-critical commercial and military avionics applications. The Platform Software Engineer (P2) contributes to the design, implementation, testing, and integration of foundational software for advanced embedded processing platforms, including drivers, hardware-abstraction components, initialization routines, and diagnostics. The engineer works with more experienced engineers on well-defined technical problems while developing independence in software development and debugging and contributing to broader team goals. The role offers opportunities to deepen knowledge of embedded systems and platform-level development practices. The engineer will learn about drivers, hardware-abstraction-layer patterns, boot flows, system initialization, platform-level hardware/software debugging, cross-disciplinary product development, communication, estimation, and engineering planning.
