About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking Platform Software Engineers (Associate and Experienced) to join a proprietary Air Dominance program in Berkeley, MO. This position will support the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. The team's primary focus is ensuring the successful integration of various software products into a consistent DevSecOps framework. The role requires various skillsets, and specific responsibilities will be determined based on the candidate's background, interests, and team needs. This role involves streamlining tools for software build, test, integration, and automation, collaborating with product teams on their software tooling and DevSecOps requirements, working with tools/services like AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI, analyzing safety-critical software for compliance, and cross-functional problem-solving.

Requirements

Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start)
2+ years of professional experience programming in C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada (or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience) for Associate level
5+ years of experience programming in C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada (or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience) for Experienced level
2+ years of experience working on an Agile team using Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira for Associate level
4+ years of experience working on an Agile team using Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira for Experienced level
2+ years of professional experience in Defense/Aerospace OR working with DevSecOps technologies such as Kubernetes, Cloud services, GitLab, Terraform, etc. for Associate level
4+ years of professional experience in Defense/Aerospace OR working with DevSecOps technologies such as Kubernetes, Cloud services, GitLab, Terraform, etc. for Experienced level
Strong coordination and communication skills
Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment while supporting multiple concurrent activities
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 2 years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years of directly related work experience OR 10+ years of related relevant experience
Knowledge or experience in the defense or avionics industry
Mastery of multiple DevSecOps tools/technologies (AWS, Azure, Terraform, GitLab CI and Components, build systems, SonarQube, etc.)
Knowledge of networking principles
Knowledge of required levels of rigor for safety-critical software
