About The Position

Capital One is seeking a Platform Risk Manager to safeguard critical systems and address complex business problems in a fast-paced, collaborative, inclusive, and risk-conscious environment. The role supports products using data products, compelling experiences, and generative AI, and focuses on enterprise regulatory platforms, particularly BSA/AML, Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR), and Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) data flows.

The manager will contribute to the design and delivery of the risk management framework, partner with cross-functional teams to maintain operational resilience and platform integrity, use data and analytics to identify and manage risk, support audits and examinations, and monitor regulatory changes. This is a hybrid role, subject to Capital One’s policy on required on-site presence at the designated office location.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in the financial services industry.
• At least 4 years of risk management experience.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree.
• At least 5 years of financial services risk management experience.
• At least 5 years of project or process management experience.
• At least 5 years of experience supporting, partnering with, and interacting with internal and external business clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead formal risk and control assessments (RCSAs) across enterprise regulatory platforms, focusing on BSA/AML, CTR, and SAR data flows to ensure reporting accuracy and audit readiness.
• Contribute to the effective design and delivery of the risk management framework.
• Partner with AML Business, Compliance, Advisory, Operations, Product, Tech, and Data teams to maintain operational resilience and platform integrity.
• Use data and analytics to manage risk and proactively identify risks and trends.
• Support internal and external audits and examinations.
• Stay informed about changes in the regulatory environment and understand their impacts.
• Set direction, manage expectations, and lead cross-functional team initiatives.
