About The Position

MAG Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer (platform) to join our growing organization in Ft. Bragg, NC. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. You will work with a team of diverse architects and engineers with backgrounds in PaaS, DevOps, Security, and IaaS operations in order to spread knowledge and practices. All in support of the Government Program Office’s global cloud and platform services environments.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship and Possess an Active TS/SCI Clearance.
  • DOD 8570 IAT Level II required
  • 3 years of experience with Kubernetes architecture, cluster design, and production operations
  • Relevant experience in deploying, managing, and upgrading Kubernetes clusters in cloud and hybrid environments
  • Relevant experience with containerization technologies and OCI standards
  • Relevant experience with infrastructure as code and automation using tools such as Terraform
  • Relevant experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows for Kubernetes environments
  • Relevant experience with Kubernetes networking, ingress, DNS, and cluster security, including RBAC and secrets management
  • Relevant experience with observability, performance tuning, high availability design, and troubleshooting distributed systems
  • Relevant experience in developing and deploying cloud and platform automation
  • Relevant experience in designing and building scalable containerized applications
  • Relevant experience in IP networking, load balancing, and DNS

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Helm, Kustomize, and Kubernetes package management practices
  • Experience with service mesh technologies and advanced traffic management
  • Experience with multi cluster and multi region Kubernetes deployments
  • Experience with cloud provider managed Kubernetes services
  • Experience with storage orchestration and CSI driver implementation
  • Experience with vulnerability management and container security scanning tools
  • Experience with cost optimization and resource efficiency strategies in Kubernetes environments
  • Experience with compliance frameworks such as NIST or FedRAMP
  • Experience with Linux systems administration in production environments
