About The Position

As a DevOps engineer, you will develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets client needs and leverages cloud capabilities. The role involves developing container management software to address client challenges. As a Platform Engineer at Booz Allen, you will apply technical skills to drive mission-forward change, honing skills with the latest cloud technologies to improve client environments with current container software for seamless orchestration. Utilizing DevOps platform experience, you will support the team by informing strategy and design, ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process. You will recommend resources for clients to manage and securely adopt containers, and continuously strengthen DevOps skills by supporting the development of critical cloud platforms.

Requirements

3+ years of experience with software development or programming in a DevOps environment
1+ years of experience with automation tools, including Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Puppet
Knowledge of architecting and deploying applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor's degree
Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 Security+ or CISSP Certification within 30 days of start date

Nice To Haves

Experience managing Git-based version control systems and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, including GitLab and GitHub
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code environments, including activities around the automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, or monitoring and testing such as CI/CD
Experience provisioning and managing infrastructure and applications in cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Experience with system integration using a variety of protocols, including JSON, REST, and XML
Experience with scripting in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby
Experience leveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration
